Commitment and Risk-The moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision which no one could have dreamed would have come their way.-W.H. MurrayWe’d all like a guarantee before making a decision or taking a risk, but the irony is that taking the risk is what opens us to our fate. It’s like wanting to know what things will taste like before putting them in your mouth. It just can’t be figured out that way.I always seem to be relearning that real commitment comes before I know where anything is going. That’s what listening to your heart is all about. Without jumping out of your hearts silence, love is never possible. November has been about doing no-thing. About letting go. About stopping. About pausing. About resting. And funny enough, I got hit with a three week cold as did my whole house hold. It’s been rough. But it’s also been needed. I needed to be knocked down. To accept the support of the earth and the ground, rather than to reach for the sky and the stars. There is balance here, but for me, finding harmony has been about letting go and allowing my internal pendulum to slowdown and find its own center. So if you needed the reminder, rest is self-care. It is so simple to say, but in reality, changing the neural networks in our brains takes so much intention and hard work.  Our brains love habits and routines, and even when a pattern is harming us, it is hard for us to change since biologically, we love familiarity. However, I challenge you during the beginning of this holiday season to be BRAVE and have the courage to no longer fear what is on the other side of change. It will only get brighter when you break the patterns that are no longer serving you in your life and allow yourself to grow, be joyful, and heal. You are cordially invited to join Rex Stromness in Tuscany, Italy June 13 to 20, 2020 at the Lepianore retreat in southern Tuscany. This is one of Rex’s favorite yoga retreats -- a beautiful organic wine grape and olive farm in a very rural and quiet part of what is otherwise one of the busiest Italian provinces. Je vous présente le livre « Regarder une œuvre d’art et aimer ça » de Véronique Antoine-Andersen et Claire Merleau-Ponty chez les @stephanie_editionseyrolles ⁣L’approche ludique de l’auteure permet, au travers d’exercices simples, de changer son expérience dans les musées en démontrant et expliquant la pratique de la « Cérémonie du regard ». Egalement, cette technique associe les dernières recherches en neuroscience et se base sur les principes de la méditation de pleine conscience ! ⁣⁣L’art de voir n’est pas une chose innée ! Je vous présente le livre « Regarder une œuvre d’art et aimer ça » de Véronique Antoine-Andersen et Claire Merleau-Ponty chez les @stephanie_editionseyrolles ⁣ L’approche ludique de l’auteure permet, au travers d’exercices simples, de changer son expérience dans les musées en démontrant et expliquant la pratique de la « Cérémonie du regard ». Egalement, cette technique associe les dernières recherches en neuroscience et se base sur les principes de la méditation de pleine conscience ! ⁣ ⁣ L’art de voir n’est pas une chose innée ! Il faut savoir intégrer son corps et son esprit sans les dissocier pour apprendre à regarder une œuvre.⁣ ⁣ Elle propose au travers d’exercices simples et accessibles, d’ouvrir son regard et d’interroger son désir.⁣ ⁣ Cela passe par des techniques de méditation telles que :⁣ ⁣ ▪️Adopter l’œil du débutant (l’esprit du débutant)⁣ ▪️Regarder en pleine présence et accepter ses pensées parasites.⁣ ▪️Faire des exercices de respiration consciente pour s’ancrer dans le présent.⁣ ▪️Cultiver la curiosité.⁣ ▪️Faire l’exposition en une marche consciente pour sortir de son pilote automatique.⁣ ▪️Suivre le principe de non-jugement.⁣ ⁣ Elle propose ensuite deux méthodes pour effectuer la cérémonie du regard :⁣ ⁣ 1. La pratique de l’appareil photo :⁣ ⁣ Elle propose de regarder l’œuvre dans ses moindres recoins en faisant taire son savoir, son inhibition, ses interprétations… et en ne lisant pas le descriptif de l’œuvre. Elle nous livre différents exercices pour vivre l’œuvre pleinement, de loin, de près, en grand angle, selon le principe du travelling, du balayage, de la confrontation et du clic clac final mental.⁣ ⁣ 2. la pratique du dialogue silencieux. ⁣ ⁣ L’idée est de faire parler l’œuvre en entrant en dialogue avec elle. Cela passe par chercher soi-même les réponses de l’œuvre par son regard, ses connaissances, son imagination, ses émotions, ses associations d’image…Au travers d’une méthode de 10 questions à se poser.⁣ ⁣ Ce livre a tout à fait sa place dans l’univers de l’Art-thérapie. The word Tantra seems to confuse people, which is fair because it’s constantly being used to advertise many things that have absolutely nothing to do with the ancient yogic practice. The word Tantra means, “to weave,” and although s€xual energy is cultivated in the practices, our interaction and use of this energy and ability to live a tantric lifestyle expands far beyond the bedroom. The intention is to become aware of the Eros that is alive within everything and to weave a sense of sacredness into form (our bodies and material reality.) We can have a tantric experience sitting on the earth, allowing our bodies and hearts to open to the aliveness of nature, or by becoming still and savoring every morsel of pleasure on our tongue while we eat our favorite foods. If we find ourselves struggling with addictive behaviors in an attempt to regulate our nervous system or fill a void in our chest, we can use Tantra to weave loving awareness into our “vices,” transforming our relationship to these coping mechanisms and slowly releasing the guilt and shame which is what actually keeps us bound to our attachments. Seemingly shadowy appearing s€xual acts such as kink or  BDSM become even more of an ecstatic blissful and transformative healing experience when conscious awareness and deep presence in the body is available. This type of weaving allows us to break down taboos of what has been considered holy or unholy by traditionalist for eons. So sure, Tantra is great for your s€x life - but what the practice is really teaching is how to become deeply intimate and turned on to life itself.
