Explosive Cape AragoBig water explosions going off back in October at that famous Oregon coast wave place. The swell came in right as the @outofchicago #outoforegon conference was ending, so many of us hustled south a couple of hours to catch the show.Taken with a Lumix S1R and Lumix s 70-200 f/4 on loan from my friend @photojoseph via @lumixusa. 70mm, 1/1000 second, f/4.5, ISO 100.

The downtown core has, and always will be home for me. Getting around here is super easy, but making my way out is the opposite. Glad to say things are changing with @metrolinx adding a stop here in Moss Park via the Ontario Line along with other stops across the city to look forward to. Growing up and navigating the city, it’s great that they’re making getting around way simpler for everyone in Toronto. Hit the link in my bio to learn more. #MxItsHappening #ad

I’ve taken this photo repeatedly since 2011, when I first visited Wyoming. Same spot on the same road, about once a year or so. There’s no particular reason, it just feels like after some time goes by, it calls to be taken again. Looking back, I can see that we’ve picked up some gray hair and a few scars over the years. But we’re still here. #dustycross

Is it finally the weekend?! It’s been a crazy last couple of weeks but I’m finally starting to spend some time looking at photos from my recent trip to the southwest. Last week I had the pleasure of meeting up with @ross_schram, @iangastonphotography, @bryanswanphoto and @trevorandersonphotography for an awesome trip throughout southern Utah and Northern Arizona, including my first ever visit to Zion National Park! The day after I got back I immediately jumped on another flight for an unexpected work trip so this feels like the first time I’m able to actually catch my breath. I might even unpack my bags today… I’m really looking forward to going through and sharing many of the photos from our trip but I wanted to start with this one that has a particular grab on me. It goes without saying that this area in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument has some pretty incredible sandstone formations. Alien like even. It’s hard not to be in awe of it all. Thanks to a last minute suggestion by Bryan to change the schedule, we were lucky to actually see some clouds that night. I was starting to forget what they looked like at that point. After some great sunset colors and as the sun continued to set, the entire area was illuminated with a glow that only the southwest seems to produce. I spent the next half hour or so literally running around with Ross trying to capture as much as we could before the glow disappeared. This alcove caught my eye earlier (actually I just followed Trevor wherever he went!) so I went back and captured the last bit of light that evening. I really loved the relative contrast on the background formation and felt that it did a good job of conveying the beauty that we witnessed that night. Anyways, enough rambling for now… I hope you enjoy it and look forward to sharing more shots from our trip!-----------------------------------------------Shot Info:- Canon 5DIV, Canon 16-35mm 2.8LIII, @indurotripods Stealth CLT404- ISO100, 16mm, F11, 20s- Shot in RAW, processed with Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop
