Last night, dozens of pro-life men and women joined me for a panel discussion with Planned Parenthood and members of the media to discuss the #HeartbeatBill. One thing was abundantly clear at the conclusion of the event: the world’s largest abortion provider comes up short on facts, lacks in truth, and is afraid of science. There remains no debate among credible scientists that life begins at fertilization. Semantics cannot obfuscate the reality that a baby’s heart is beating by 6 weeks in the womb. And reasonable minds continue to find themselves on the opposite side of the moral and political crusade by Planned Parenthood and their surrogates to legalize abortion until and after birth. In short: we’re winning, everyone knows it, and there are no strawmen left to hide inside regarding the greatest human rights injustice of our generation. Thanks so much to everyone who came down to watch and support! #hb481 #gapol

On March 29, 2019 the Republican-majority House voted on a bill called #HB481. It got approved 92 to 78, not even close in my opinion... The Georgia House Bill 481, also known as the Living Infants Fairness Equality (LIFE) Act or “Heartbeat Bill,” is a proposed American anti-abortion act that would prevent doctors in Georgia from performing abortions beyond six weeks. Exceptions are provided for women whose pregnancies are considered futile or medical emergency and women pregnant by rape or incest BUT ONLY if they are less than 20 weeks pregnant and only if they have filed a police report.

I stand with Planned Parenthood, ACLU, and the Center for Reproductive Rights, who filed for a preliminary injunction against GA’s 6-week abortion ban, which outlaws abortion before most women even know they're pregnant. #stopthebans #bansoffourbodies #hb481

I support you! ✊🏼🧼@mamabathandbody with @get_repost・・・In my professional life, I have been standing on the sidelines of the political climate for the last 2.5 years with open eyes and a sinking heart. Shortly after the election, I had a big plan to join the resistance using this business as my platform. But instead, I watched and waited and despaired in private. I genuinely believe that in order for two sides to come together, there has to be some understanding and commonality. Watching people step into our retail stores and take a deep breath of relief, I realized that with our great smells and good vibes, we have created a haven for people. A way to connect and commune and take a break from the outside world. As a result, I made an intentional decision to leave politics out of my business and focus on providing a place of connection and healing for the community.#But this current War On Women has superseded politics. As a woman, a mother, a wife, a sister, a friend, the owner of a business run by women, a member of the herbal community and a resident of Georgia with the Heartbeat Bill #HB481 recently enacted, I feel that it is my duty to use my privilege and my platform to reach as many people as possible and to fight as hard as I can against something that is so fundamentally wrong. "Women with privilege will always have access to the care they need. But this ban will perpetuate a cycle of poverty, chaos, and dysfunction that poor, underprivileged women are born into and want to escape.” Women should be able to thrive, not just survive. We must speak up.#As a small business with a limited reach, we feel we can make the biggest impact by supporting our local community. We have created a special soap to help us do this and we chose the scent of rose to design this soap around. In herbalism, roses represent self-love and their duality of strength and vulnerability are the perfect symbolism for what it is to be a woman.#Every dollar from the sale of these soaps plus 10% of all Mama purchases from July 15th through August 15th will be donated to the Feminist Women’s Health Center @feministcenter , located in Atlanta: https://www.feministcenter.org/

We must speak up. # As a small business with a limited reach, we feel we can make the biggest impact by supporting our local community. We have created a special soap to help us do this and we chose the scent of rose to design this soap around. In herbalism, roses represent self-love and their duality of strength and vulnerability are the perfect symbolism for what it is to be a woman. # Every dollar from the sale of these soaps plus 10% of all Mama purchases from July 15th through August 15th will be donated to the Feminist Women’s Health Center @feministcenter , located in Atlanta: https://www.feministcenter.org/ Please help us support women. # #dobetterga

Mugwort in bloom 🌿 I often feel completely overwhelmed by what's happening in the news...so much so that I feel paralyzed and frozen and just want to hide in my garden. And while this is nourishing for me, it isn't always supportive of my community or helpful in changing the way things are going. When my home state decided to step back into the stone age and remind people with uteruses that our government doesn't care about us, and even worse, their aim is to control, exploit, and perpetuate harm against us, I had to do something. So I went on a deep dive, a quest if you will, to figure out how I could best support folks in my community to cope with the repercussions of our government's horrific actions. I started reading everything I could on herbal allies for folks with uteruses at every phase of their life, how to support people going through miscarriages, historic and modern perspectives around abortion + supportive care, and how we could reclaim our reproductive sovereignty and take back control of our bodies – control a bunch of old white dudes are hell-bent on possessing 🙅Ian asked me last week if I thought I'd become a birth doula someday. I paused and thought about it for a moment and said, "Maybe, but I'm more concerned about helping people not get or stay pregnant should they not want to be." It is your right to have the education you need, education not taught in schools, to know when you can't get pregnant vs when you can; to know how your body communicates health concerns with you through your menstrual cycle; to learn the truth of hormonal contraceptive methods on the market and how they effect your entire body; to reposition your cycle around ovulation as a vital sign of health vs dread your monthly bleed or feel shame around it; to take back ancient knowledge rooted in your own bones that recognizes the power of living as a cyclical being and glorifies our experiences rather than denigrates them. So, I'm on the road to becoming a fertility awareness method educator! I'm really excited about this next chapter and cannot wait to support my community in this way. rowanandsage @aisling_78 totally not creepy at all 🤗 thanks so much for the support!!

jenuinjoy Our bodies tell us everything we need to know. The most challenging thing is detaching from external sources - shaming us into into buying whatever product they are selling — and engaging with the story out bodies are telling us. 🧡
