There are unique and amazing ways to practise and prepare for your handstand.Today I had a great conversation with some athletes /friends who asked "how can I practice or get better at my free standing handstand when there is no one around to spot me?" If you are trying to move your handstand away from the wall but still having trouble to find your centre for a free standing handstand, this drill will work really well for you.The main focus for this drill is to help you work on your hand/wrist adjustment while in a handstand. How you use your forearms and fingers to maintain your balance. This where the boxes come in. Giving you support on the other side of your arms, where you have no hand to catch with, so if you adjust to much through the hand and the wrist or lose some balance the boxes are there to push against and not fall over. Have you eve tried this drill before?

I watched far too many athletes doing movements that don’t transfer well to toes to bar. I saw too many athletes never progressing beyond the scaled movements they were always doing. I listened to too many athletes disappointed that they weren’t able to do toes to bar or string multiple reps together after months or even years of training.⁣⁣All of those things are what led me as a coach to develop and patent the Tink™️ T2B Tool. Spicy one to start a Wednesday🔥 5 RFT: 300m ski ⛷ 4 DB cluster 🥵 6 devils press 😈 12 GHD sit up ⬆️ 8 box step overs 📦 • • Devils press at 2x12.5kg and the box step overs and cluster with 2x15kg as I wanted to keep moving rather than resting for ages between reps as the 15’s are flipping heavy for me to devils press😅🥵 • • First round was a struggle but once I got into it, I really enjoyed it. Shoulders blew up big time, they were burning doing the GHD’s😂, and lungs were burning as well because fitness still needs some work🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ • • Snatch work beforehand started with E2MOM x5, 3 position power snatch 🏋️‍♀️ to a moderate and then E90secs x5 - hang power + power which I did all at 95% of my max power and they actually felt good considering I haven’t done heavy (for me) power snatches in a while!🙌

This is not just an upper body movement but requires the upper, mid and lower body in order to be performed correctly and most efficiently.The push-up has a great deal of skill transfer. If you improve the quality of your push-ups, the quality in EVERY CrossFit movement will also improve.A skill to build prerequisite strength for the #hspu so we focus on moving our body as efficiently as possible to build strength for higher level skills. •••Points of Performance:1. Shoulders and Hips should lower and rise together. They move as a unit from start to finish.2. Elbows track back and arms stay close to the body.3. At the bottom, chest and hips make contact with the ground.4. Knees remain off the ground and should never make contact unless scaling to knee push-ups.••••Common Faults in the Push-up:1. Hips not making contact with the ground. Fix: Tuck the tailbone under and squeeze the butt.2. Hips make contact with the floor before the chest does.
