How to keep your balance? ☯️ _ There are so many times when you go trough emotional turmoils. It can be caused by external or internal circumstances, by physical or mental incidents. 🤯 _ I recently watched a talk about how to keep your balance in those stressful times. The main train of thought was the following: 🗝 _ “ Become aware that you yourself are not your body and neither your mind. ❗️ Let me repeat that... you are not your body, neither your mind. _ Once you understand this concept you can then start to take a step back and watch your life kinda from the outside. 🌀 _ You’ll become aware that you are not your feelings and this distance to your emotions will make it easier to deal with them. _ You’ll even get a sense of humor out of this as every time something goes completely wrong you’ll feel like you’re watching a Mr. Bean movie. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ _ It also lets you become more detached from the outside noise and you can enjoy the undistracted silence inside.💆‍♂️💆‍♀️ “ _ I found this idea was fascinating and recently tried to implement it in my life. Burg Eltz is a medieval castle in the hills above the Moselle River between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of the same family (the Eltz family) that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago. Bürresheim Castle, Eltz Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles on the left bank of the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate which have never been destroyed. When we came to the Castle we saw it’s under construction.
