CROSSING STREAMSYou can cross streams the easy way (and be dry) or the hard way (and get soaking wet). It's amazing to me that we often choose the hard way over the easy way because, well, it just seems too good to be true.So many people struggle through life trying to do it their way. Many are convinced they must follow a religion or lifestyle of doing good works and deeds in order to earn their way to heaven and God's grace. The sad thing is if they'd read their Bibles they would clearly see that even our very best attempts to prove our worthiness are as filthy rags before the Lord. All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6)The "easy way" is to accept the Bridge Builder (Jesus) into your heart because He has already done all that one could possibly do on our behalf to get us safely to the other side. This is number 6 in my top 10 of 2019 series, all settings and composition notes below 😍👇🏻_________________________________Gear and Settings:⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️🔹 @olympus_au E-M1 Mark II🔹 M. Zuiko 12-40 f2.8 PRO lens 🔹 Hand Held🔹 ISO 200🔹 F 2.8🔹 1/ 200th second__________________________________📝This was actually a great shoot because I’d just arrived home from being in Queenstown for the last Bootcamp, and I felt like I hadn’t picked up a camera in forever! It was one of those jobs that just flowed, every idea worked and I loved everything about being surrounded by Jacaranda’s. For this shot I wanted the scene to look like a sea of purple so I got down on my stomach (as best as I could, I was 5 months pregnant at the time) and blurred out all of the fallen Jacaranda flowers in the foreground. A sneaky tip is to gather more flowers and lay them out manually. Haha. I focused on my model Danielle for that soft blur on all the purple. 💜💜__________________________________Our next conference @thetravelbootcamp 👉🏻 📍: Melbourne, Australia📅 : July 24-26 2020🐥 : Early bird tickets only sale now📱 : Link in bio _________________________________#TheTravelBootcamp #TravelBootcamp2020 #LearnPhotography #Gear #Zimbabwe #PhotographyTutorial #OlympusInspired #VisitZimbabwe #ElephantTrunk #PrestigeSafaris #Camelthorn #HwangeNationalPark

Definitely one of the coldest shots of my life. Air temp: -41 degrees. Edit: I have just added 2 more shots of.this phenomenon to my website in the New Work Gallery which were shot with my group at: https://www.marcadamus.com/photo/icebow/https://www.marcadamus.com/photo/icerainbow/In such conditions we can view rare light shows close to Earth which otherwise would only occur in higher in the atmosphere. The phenomenon known as "sun dogs" is one such display, although "Ice Bow" would be a more appropriate name. On two consecutive days near Jasper Alberta this past week temps hovered in and around the -40s, creating spectacularly vibrant vertically oriented ice bows with vivid colors, Nacerous clouds and also ice bows such as this one close to the surface, in the landscapes we were shooting! When temps go this low snowflakes/ice cryatals hanging in the air become flat platelets and refract light, an effect normally reserved for the cirrus layer. Such Ice bows are a beautiful addition to photography but your camera disagrees. The average life of my LCD screen on these days was about 10 minutes before it failed. 10-20 min later my shutter regularly froze shut. It was all worth it though, the constant rewarming of the equipment, because the low temps also produced rare displays of great atmosphere due to both inversions and steam rising from the yet unfrozen springs nearby many shooting locations. Enjoy!

HELP! As of the New Year, the fires in Australia have now scorched more than 16 million acres of land, killed almost half a billion animals, burned down over 2000 homes and displaced hundreds of thousands of people. These fires are 500% larger than the Amazon fires and are getting bigger with no end in sight. Air quality is at hazardous levels in Australia and will be affecting everyone on a worldwide level. Civilians and holiday makers are stranded on beaches escaping the intense heat with no road out. If you’re interested in helping, I have created a link in my bio with just a few of the many organizations you can donate to, below is a description of how the donations will be used: The regional fire services in the worst affected states, NSW, SA & VIC all require significant help for volunteer firefighters on the frontline, as well as provide relief to those affected. @nswrfs @cfavic @sa_countryfireservice • WIRES - To help the NSW wildlife victims, you can donate to Australia's largest wildlife rescue organisation with over 2500 volunteers. @wireswildliferescue • Port Macquarie Koala Hospital – 8000 koalas are feared to have perished that’s 1/3 of their population in their primary habitat. Donations will be used to help in koala and wildlife survival as well as create new breeding programs. @portmacquariekoalahospital

🇬🇧 My personal favourite photos from 2019. Due to some essential changes in my life, I was not very productive in 2019. I had to cancel my trip to many countries I was planning to go. It was quite difficult for me as a travel addict. I hope I can travel more and take new photos in 2020. Besides, I am also so happy about two crucial changes in my life: 1) I had a sweet baby girl, and I love her very much. 👶❤️ 2) I moved to London, the capital of the United Kingdom from Turkey, and I am trying to build a new life here. I hope 2019 has been great for you. #HappyNewYear and thank you very much for your support.

Created in collaboration with @syoteofficial / We had a wonderful trip to Syöte last week and it really felt like a nice holiday between busy weeks. This place has so many photogenic areas and the best way to explore it is to spend as much time outside as possible. I have always found this area very calming. There are endless possibilities to find your own place to enjoy the landscape and take photos, or what ever you wish to do. Ski, hike or just relax. I made a little collection of photos taken last week and a year ago. A wilderness hut I recommend to visit during winter: * Ahmatupa / Ahmavaara I listed more tips in my story highlights Syöte. Moonlight photos from this year and couple others from last year.
