Im going to start 2020 giving thanks and shouting out a couple of people that have inspired me to either start photography or help push me to the next level in life. I feel it only right to give back and give thanks for this whole first week who have helped shape me into the photographer I am today
Ok so this one and the next few are going to be odd because they aren't quite photographers, but still are a huge part of who I am today. This shot and the next shot of the Heart and Soul Nebula is dedicated to Sheila Thomas and I'll tell you why.
So, after high school, things got rough for me, I won't quite get into details but it was a dark time and Sheila / Jeff and my gf at the time Colleen took me into their homes, put a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and even clothes on my back. I respected Sheila probably more than any other adult I knew because of what she had done for me out of the kindness of her heart and the effort she put in to making me a better person. She brought me into her family and treated me like a son. In all honesty, it was the closest thing I had to have a full all together family. I learned from her that there's no time like the present to get shit done. It was only about 3 years later after graduating college when I was around 22-23 that those words fully kicked in and saw the meaning of it and made it a serious part of my life. Now I bet you're wondering why this picture... (read the next post to continue, it's posting now! )
